Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Version 1.0

1. Who is Nicole Sullivan?

Nicole Sullivan is a New York native best known as a comedic actress featured on the Fox Network's sketch comedy show Mad TV for six seasons (1995-2001). Ms. Sullivan has twenty-five years of experience in her chosen profession. She appeared in children's off-Broadway productions at the age of seven and in numerous school productions. At Northwestern University, she honed her skills, appearing in such plays as the Shakespearean comedy As You Like It and Present Laughter. She did her year abroad in the United Kingdom, becoming a member of the British American Drama Academy. After graduating in 1991, she moved to Los Angeles, where she obtained bit parts in such shows as Herman's Head and Diagnosis Murder, as well as more substantial roles in Los Angeles theater productions. In 1995, she was cast as a regular on Fox's upstart Mad TV; she soon established herself as the "breakout" cast member. During her six season stint, she made numerous guest appearances on shows as diverse as The Drew Carey Show and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. She was a supporting cast member on the short-lived ABC sitcom Talk to Me, and was the star of Me and My Needs, an unaired ABC pilot. In 2001, Ms. Sullivan left Mad TV to concentrate on other projects. Most recently, she has appeared on The King of Queens as Holly, the dogwalker, and as the voice of Sheego on Disney's Kim Possible.

2. Are you Nicole Sullivan?

No. Read the disclaimer.

3. Then who are you and why did you create this website?

I am Number Six. I created the website to do something about the dearth of Nicole Sullivan information on the Internet (particularly the lack of a comprehensive filmography). Since then, the site has gradually expanded and evolved.

4. How long has the site been online?

The site was launched on January 31, 1998. The old URL was at my old Internet provider, nic.com. On December 25, 1999, the site moved to its current location at nic0lesullivan.org.

5. Is this the first Nicole Sullivan fan-based website?

No. The First Nicole Sullivan Home Page went online in early 1997 (it no longer exists). Nor was this the last Nicole Sullivan fan-based website: Sharkey's Nicole Sullivan website, a fairly comprehensive web site created by an Australian fan, went online in 1999, though it is long gone. And then there was Nicole Sullivan: Genuine Class, a micro-web site that also went online in 1999 and now is also apparently gone. Nic0lesullivan.org is probably the oldest currently-existing Nicole Sullivan fan-based site.

6. You used to do reviews of Mad TV. Why don't you do them anymore?

Back in 1998, when Nicole Sullivan was still a cast member of Mad TV and this website was relatively unknown, I started posting reviews of Mad TV to alt.tv.mad-tv as a means of promoting the website. Since then, this website has generated more traffic than I ever imagined possible when I first launched it, making the reviews unnecessary. Also, Nicole Sullivan has left the cast; the reviews would no longer relate to the theme of the website. As a further practical matter, compiling the reviews took at least two hours per week - one hour to screen the episode, and one hour to write the review (while reviewing salient parts of the episode), time that could be better spent updating the website with Nicole Sullivan-related material.
