The Antonia Page

AntoniaAntonia Timmens is one of the more intriguing fictional characters to find its way onto network television in recent years. On one level, the "Antonia" sketches work quite well as humorous little vignettes in which the main character, Antonia, struggles to complete relatively simple tasks, sometimes with disasterous results. But on another level, the "Antonia" sketches taken together form a complex tapestry, revealing a complex psychological drama that in many ways parallels my own life. Many universal themes are covered in great detail, including the futility of human existence and the triumph of free will.

Am I reading too much into this character? As Antonia would say, "It es possible." Nevertheless, Antonia is one of the funniest and most popular recurring characters on Mad TV, and I have therefore set aside this page for Antonia-related material. Now updated with Antonia sound clips from season four.
